Stephen M. Albert, AIA

Steve has designed hundreds of built buildings in his more than half a century career as an architect. His love for producing buildings knows no bounds. Before founding Albert Group in 1979, Steve worked as a project manager and senior designer for Dworsky and Associates in Los Angeles and then for Caudill, Rowlett & Scott in Houston, Texas. He is a former Architectural Commissioner for the City of Beverly Hills and member of the Affordable Living for the Aging Board of Directors. Steve received his Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University in 1966 and his Master of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley in 1967. Steve is originally from Boston and came and settled in LA in the early 70's.

Adam Polk, AIA

Adam was born and raised in LA. He possesses extensive experience working with educational institutions, including pre-kindergarten through high school private and charter schools, as well as non-profits specializing in education. Adam brings to his projects a strong sense of social and environmental responsibility, a detail oriented managerial approach, and an outstanding facility for working with a variety of BIM and 3D modeling programs. Adam was born and raised in Los Angeles and received his BA from Brown University in 1998 and his MArch from the Southern California Institute of Architecture in 2007.

Mehrzad Rafeei, AIA

Mehrzad is from Isfahan, Iran. Before joining the Albert Group, she was an Associate Architect for West Pacifica Design in Beverly Hills and a Project Manager for Opal Construction Co in Isfahan, Iran. She served on the faculties of the Islamic Azad University of Falavarjan, the Daneshpajoohan Institute of Higher Education, and the Islamic Azad University of Khorasgan, where she also received her continuous Master of Architecture in 2006. In 2012, she received a Master of Design Research in Emerging Systems and Technologies from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. She is a licensed architect in Iran.

Max Pinto

Max is an Argentinian architect from Buenos Aires and he graduated from the University of Buenos Aires. His professional experience includes a wide variety of projects, programs and scales, ranging from single family residences to international airports and city planning. Before founding his own firm in Argentina -FACT-, he worked for international renowned offices such as Bjarke Ingels Group, Dieguez Fridman A&A and Merkli Architeckten, as well as serving as a design professor at his university for the past four years. At Albert Group , he contributes with his design-focus management of multi-family residential projects.

Brittany Edwards

Brittany earned her Bachelors of Architecture from Philadelphia University in 2012 with minor concentrations in ‘Architectural History and Theory’ and ‘Environmental Sustainability’. Before coming to the Albert Group, Brittany worked in New Jersey designing single family residences in the Jersey Shore region along with being active in the local Habitat for Humanity construction projects and Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Since joining the Albert Group in 2016, she has managed and designed numerous ground-up apartment and mixed use developments, along with educational and community center renovations.

Yulun Wu

Yulun received his MArch from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and his BArch from Nanjing University of Technology in China. The mix of the Eastern and Western culture background gives Yulun an unique view of architecture aesthetic, he believes architecture has emotions, people should benefit from the architectural space mentally and physically. Before Yulun joined the Albert Group, he worked for Award-Winning Architects firms like MAD Architects and Atelier Deshaus. At The Albert Group Architects, he mostly focuses on the design of mixed-use residential projects, as well as single-family residences.

Toviah (Todd) Albert

Tovi has been at Albert Group since 2014. He received his Bachelor's degree, his Master in Architecture, and a CREDD (Certificate in Real Estate Design & Development) from the University of Pennsylvania. He has experience designing and managing numerous multifamily and ADU projects in LA in ground-up new-construction as well as existing-construction scenarios. He has particular experience in the design of light wood-frame structures over concrete bases, in what is known as "podium" construction. He also has experience working on housing projects entitled under various California state and local jurisdiction affordable housing incentive programs. He is committed to bringing a more numerous, a denser, and a more affordable housing supply to Los Angeles and all throughout Southern California. Tovi was born and raised in Los Angeles.
