Job Title:        Designer


The Albert Group Architects is a full-service architecture firm located in Los Angeles, CA. The Albert Group Architects has 40 years of experience designing buildings for individuals, developers, religious organizations, corporations, retailers, universities, local governments, community organizations, and other entities. We walk our clients through the entire design and project development process. We strive to design energy efficient buildings that extend beyond LEED requirements and ultimately strive for carbon neutrality. We set sustainability goals by evaluating important site parameters to capitalize on opportunities for natural ventilation, lighting, acoustics, and more. We have in-house construction management who provide construction services and combine design and construction quality at an affordable cost.


To meet the design needs of our firm, The Albert Group Architects seeks to hire a Designer. The Designer will support senior staff by creating designs using computer assisted models and producing design development documents and construction documents for our residential and commercial projects in the Greater Los Angeles area. The Designer will create computer visualizations during the concept and schematic design phases to help engineers and architects plan structural elements correctly to meet clients’ requirements.


The hired individual will be responsible for the following duties:


  • Articulate the overall scope of projects through construction document sets, including correction and coordination of consultants’ work;

  • Study existing facility structure, space, and plans and design remodeling and expansion projects according to clients’ specifications;

  • Study clients’ business nature, intended lifestyle, and special requirements such as purpose of the room space, types of merchandise to be displayed, and intended layouts;

  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to effectively plan, design, and execute design specifications for developments and properties;

  • Prepare scale drawings, building designs, and construction documents using computer-aided design tools including AutoCAD and Revit;

  • Create detailed digital models and visualize and process three-dimensional spaces based on two-dimensional drawings;

  • Perform site analysis and conceptualization to review project designs;

  • Review and edit layouts for plans for building designs, topography, and site design using computer-assisted design software and tools;

  • Identify issues and problems with existing drafts and recommend solutions;

  • Perform research on and stay abreast of potential uses, zoning, and construction and building codes.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in architecture;

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Maya, and Adobe Design (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, and After Effects).
